Welcome to the ATLAS web

GLASGOW ATLAS COMPUTING

There are several computing systems available to work from as a member of the ATLAS Collaboration here at Glasgow.

Below, you can find information on setting up accounts on each system, and running analysis jobs etc from the various accounts.

Please note these are just simple examples for basic setups and if you require further advice you should contact our system administrator, Andrew Pickford or the relevant administrator for the system you are working from.

Local Computing

There will be a table below detailing the ATLAS software releases currently installed locally, and details of the users.

Though the table should be up-to-date, there is no guarantee..Release Matrix

If there is a release that you would like to see installed locally, please contact Tom Doherty for advice.

Below you will find instruction on running Athena jobs locally.

External Access

For access off campus you will need a PUCK account. Contact Shane Kelly to set you up with an account. Don't use Puck for anything CPU-intensive, just as a gateway.
