Multi Module Set-up

Pages detailing Glasgow's multi-module set-up.

The basic goal is to run multiple quad sensor modules simultaneously to test the electronic properties of the system.

RCE

Pages on running the RCE can be found here.

The system is based up the RCE firmware to control and monitor each module (single or quad chip sensor). At them moment we have 4 RCEs, which gives the potential to run 32 (8x4) chips.

Basic set-up

  • 4 RCEs (26,27,38,39)
  • 2 HSIO boards
  • 2 IBL adaptor boards
  • 2 breakout boards (homemade), each with 100 pin Samtec
  • up to 32 FEI4 chips

Power Supplies

LVDS

  • TTi Power Supply constant voltage (2 outputs)
  • Keysight E3634A Power Supply for constant current (1 output)
  • Agilent E3647A Power Supply for constant current (2 outputs)

High Voltage

  • Keithley 237
