Multi Module Set-up

The basic goal is to run multiple quad sensor modules simultaneously to test the electronic properties of the system.

The system is based up the RCE firmware to control and monitor each module (single or quad chip sensor).

Single module set-up

The single module set-up at Glasgow uses an RCE board with an external switch (Baseline 2948) and is attached to an HSIO board and Cosmic board with 8 RJ45 ports.

Multi module set-up

For 16 chips, i.e. 4 quad modules, two RCE cards are required. Each RCE board has two separate cards and along with 2 HSIO boards (i.e. one more) this is compatible with 16 chips. However, the Cosmic must be replaced with two IBL type adapter boards, each with 8 inputs and 16 outputs on a 100 pin Samtec connector.
