Voice Over IP

Voice Over IP allows a user to 'phone' someone else by using a computer network rather than the telephone exchange. This saves a great deal of money on any international or conference call.

Gizmo (Recommended)

Gizmo is the recommended product for Voice Over IP. Gizmo can downloaded from http://www.gizmoproject.com/. It does not suffer from any of the drawbacks of Skype and is an approved way of using your computer to 'phone' someone else.

Skype

Skype use is acceptable only where there is no viable alternative. Any user who needs to use Skype should read the Computing Service Skype page before attempting to make a connection.
