Project Aims
in analyseMC:
find neutrinos
define extra histograms for neutrino energies (individual and
combined missing energy)
fill histograms with neutrino kinematics
subsequently:
in analyseEvent:
reconstruct measured missing energy from reconstructed particles
investigate effects on missing energy resolution of, eg PFO selection
(particle flow object)
long-term: develop full Hvv analysis and measure cross-section,
determine potential accuracy of cross-section measurement.
Will need to determine kinematic selection
probably look at background rejection
will need to look at a particular Higgs decay mode
Presently working on:
TWiki page.
Fully understanding what ExampleDSTAnalysis does.
Progress so Far
Created the TWiki page to document the project.
Got Marlin to work with the provided files following the instruction at
https://mail.student.gla.ac.uk/owa/redir.aspx?C=3vTnsxsm40G-MaiG0W6YInXcQ71b6dBIavMNbBBDyOJdQ3UU3PT3Z0m4E0E2jXoygqbJi5pWvW8.&URL=https%3a%2f%2ftwiki.ppe.gla.ac.uk%2fbin%2fview%2fLinearCollider%2fILCSoft%23Running_a_Marlin_processor_examp
.
Current Problems
login.physics.gla.ac.uk doesn't grant access from outside the uni network.
ExampleDSTAnalysis_refSig130929b.root and ExampleDSTAnalysis_refBck130929b.root are used in the ExampleDSTAnalysis, yet I don't understand where to get them from. Analysis works if everything regarding those files is commented, missing some part of the analysis though.
