Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server (ppewin)
The service is available for any users who have guphysics Windows account within the Particle (PPE) section of the Active Directory. If you do not have a guphysics account please refer to the AccountCreation page.
Software
The terminal server has the following software installed:
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Project 2007 (Standard)
- Tanner Tools (L-edit)
Login from Linux
To log into the service from a PPE LINUX desktop or laptop simply typerdesktop ppewin
Once you have finished using the Terminal Server logout. Just closing the window does not log a user out but leaves the associated account in a disconnected state. Please therefore close the session only by logging out.
