---+ Video Conferencing: PPE Room (450) This page refers to the equipment that is presently located within room 450. To book the room first check if it is free by consulting the [[http://docserve.physics.gla.ac.uk/mrbs/][Meeting Room Booking System]]. Then if the room is available email [[mailto:v.flood@physics.gla.ac.uk][Valerie Flood]] to request a booking. If you have and problems understanding the instructions below please contact one of the [[ITManagement]] in advance of your meeting. If you have a technical fault during your meeting and you are un-able to solve it please contact one of the [[ITManagement]]. The station can be used for both [[VC:EVO][EVO]] and [[VC:H323][H323]] video conferencing. ---++ General Notes It is advisable to reboot the system now and again, when convenient, and especially if any abnormal behaviour is experienced. ---+++ Telephone Number The video conference room has a direct line extension: +44 141 330 8241 ---+++ Dual Displays The group video conference station has two displays: the display on the left is the main display, the display on the right acts as an extension to the main display. If a window is opened on the main display then it can be dragged off the right-hand side of the main display onto the second display. ---+++Controlling the Camera Please *DO NOT* try to adjust the camera by hand. The camera should only be controlled from the on-screen camera control panel. Any attempt to reposition the camera by hand may break the Pan Tilt Zoom machinery. The camera control panel (so-called "Quick Assistant") should appear automatically when video is active: the pan, tilt and zoom controls are on the right half of this panel. On the left half are video effects, which aren't relevant to the present purposes. If the video display seems to be flickering, then from the camera control panel, Options> Camera Settings> Driver Settings> Advanced, check the "Anti Flicker" setting, and if necessary set it to 50Hz. This should only have to be done once (per user account?). ---+++ EVO Audio Configuration When using EVO please check the audio settings are correct: open the AV Controls and select the 'Audio' tab. Ensure the input and output devices are both set to 'AK4571'. ---+++ When leaving Please log-off from Windows, power off the displays (on-off switch at the base of the screen), *DO NOT* shut down Windows. -- Main.AndrewPickford - 27 Feb 2009
