---++ IT Services Mailing Lists

IT Services manage mailing lists with addresses ending <nop>@glasgow.ac.uk; more information about such lists can be found on the [[http://www.gla.ac.uk/services/it/staffemail/][IT Services web page]].

[[mailto:lynne.stewart@glasgow.ac.uk][Lynne Stewart]] looks after these lists on behalf of the school, and maintains a [[http://school.physics.gla.ac.uk/internal/mailinglists.asp?dept_code=407][directory of current physics mailing lists]].  Please contact Lynne if you would like a new list to be created.

Although mailing lists will generally accept mail from any e-mail address, mail from addresses other than those subscribed to the list will be held for moderation.  If you regularly send mail from different accounts  (e.g. CERN or personal accounts) please try to ensure that mail sent to lists is sent from the e-mail address with which you are subscribed, which will normally be your University of Glasgow (i.e. <non>@glasgow.ac.uk or <non>@student.gla.ac.uk) e-mail address.

The school maintains some legacy GNU Mailman lists.  These have addresses ending <nop>@physics.gla.ac.uk, and a list of such mailing lists can be found [[http://www.physics.gla.ac.uk/mailman/listinfo][here]].
