Back-ups

PPE storage provision is currently under review, and the following is subject to change.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all important data is backed-up regularly. The following storage locations are backed-up automatically:

  • Home areas stored on AFS (but presently not those on NFS)
  • /data/ppe01
  • /data/ppemgr01
  • /data/www

Back-ups are performed in the early hours of the morning, and are retained for the following periods:

Back-up Retention Period
First Saturday of the month 6 months
Saturday 2 months
Daily 7 days
