*PPE storage provision is currently under review, and the following is subject to change.*

It is your responsibility to ensure that all important data is backed-up regularly.  The following storage locations are backed-up automatically:

   * Home areas stored on AFS (but presently not those on NFS)
   * =/data/ppe01=
   * =/data/ppemgr01=
   * =/data/www=

Back-ups are performed in the early hours of the morning, and are retained for the following periods:

| First Saturday of the month | 6 months |
| Saturday | 2 months |
| Daily | 7 days |
