VPN accessThe university runs a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to allow off campus access to services that are normally restricted to on campus access only. See the Computing Service page http://www.gla.ac.uk/services/it/forstaff/flexiblenetworkaccess/offcampusaccess/ for details on how to sign up and use the service. See VPN for PPE specific tips and tricks when using the VPN.
Note even when using the VPN ssh access to the PPE machines from off campus still requires logging in via login.physics.gla.ac.uk as described in LoginServices.
