LabView is a graphical programming environment written by National Instruments. The department has a site license for this software such that it can be installed on any machine within the department. The ITManagement have copies of the LabView cdroms for this license agreement. The software can be installed under both Windows and LINUX although users will find hardware drivers for Windows are free which is not the case for LINUX.
